DARK MOOR Complete New Album
September 1, 2003Madrid, Spain-based power metallers DARK MOOR have completed work on their fourth, self-titled album at New Sin Studios in Italy with producer Luigi Stefanini. "Dark Moor" will contain 11 tracks and will be released on November 24 through Arise Records.
"We have been a month working at New Sin Studios in Italy with the producer Luigi Stefanini & I think we have recorded the best album in our career," guitarist Enrik Gracia said in an official press release. "We have got a clean production with heavy guitars & the orchestral arrangements sound better than ever, mainly the strings. We were searching for a new dimension in our sound/music & we are sure that 'Dark Moor' shows new elements which makes this album very special for us. Our fans don't must be afraid ´cos our style has not changed but obviously, we must try to offer different things in our music and we know 'Dark Moor' will be what you expect from us.
"Alfred Romero, the new singer, has showed us why he is the perfect singer for the band, he can sing in very different ways & his voice has given us the chance to arrange our songs without limits.
" 'Dark Moor' has been recorded with numerous guest musicians for the backing vocals such as the Valcavasia choir, the young female Castelfranco choir, Mamen (Arwen) and the special guest singer Beatriz Albert who has recorded some lead parts in the track 'The Dark Moor' and she also recorded the track 'The Mysterious Maiden' as lead singer. This alternative version (the album will contain the track recorded by Alfred Romero) will appear in the single 'From Hell' which will also contain 'The Sea' (not included in the album) & the track 'From Hell'. Alfred, Jose & I also recorded the backing vocals. The album will be mastered by Mika Jussila at Finnvox & we'll have the final result in a couple of weeks."
